*O* thankyou! hmmMmMMm tips on gradients ~ youre not the first to ask. what were you having trouble with exactly? i might be able to give some more helpful tips if it were something specific.
but in general, some gradient advice would be….
-use a polish (it doesnt need to be expensivo) that isnt too gluggy
-use a foundation sponge that isnt too soft? ive found that the really soft/cheaper ones start to disintegrate after the polish has been on them too long
-build the gradient up slowly? too much polish on the sponge can make the whole nail too wet and ends up pulling off the layers of colour underneath. then you get ridges and lighter areas where you dont want them
-crappy top coats that make your nail art bleed/run are the key to fixing up a gradient (for me anyway). ive got an OPI topcoat that is really good at not making my nail art run. BUT when im doing a gradient ill pull out just a clear polish to use as a top coat or my sally handsen top coat bc it is a pro at making nail art bleed -___-
-if the gradient still doesnt look as neat as you want it too … id apply a glitter polish over the ends its a good sneaky way of covering up a gradient that isnt quite perfecto (¬‿¬) plus it makes your nails look more trippy and cool
